MEET YOUR COACH
Peter Poh
A PGA Fellow, SPGA Class ‘AA’ member and club fitting Professional, Peter’s golfing journey began when he was 10 years old. Having achieved the National Standard for Youth Sports, Peter is a MOE-IRS registered instructor and Singapore Sports Council certified golf coach in the National Coaching Accreditation Programme. Peter has also participated in Barclays Singapore Open and the SPGA Golf Circuit for several years.
With over two decades of nationally recognised golfing and teaching experience, from curriculum design to tournament organization and execution, Peter is renowned in the Junior Golf Programmes of country clubs and schools in Singapore (see non-exhaustive list). Having taught over 3,000 students to date, ranging from 5 to 70 years old, Peter is known for his passion, patience, and effective teaching.

I strongly recommend parents for coach Peter for their juniors. Coaching kids is not the same as coaching an adult. Besides having an extensive technical knowledge, Coach Peter has the know-how on how kids think and behave. This makes a big difference (technically and mentally) in my son’s golf development and now he is very motivated to learn more from Coach.

When the Circuit Breaker Period was finally over and we resumed the long awaited training session with Coach Peter, "I missed Coach Peter." was the exact words from Kai Yuan once he set foot onto the driving range. That's the rapport Coach Peter has built with him, and also the reason Kai Yuan is always looking forward to his golf training.
Kai Yuan began his golf training at 6 years old with Coach Peter. Throughout these years, Coach Peter has been tremendously patient, at times like a fatherly figure, handling the little young man's occassional tantrum and resolving it smoothly.
Coach Peter always has the overall development of Kai Yuan at heart, both in golf and character-building. His emphasis is always about keeping the interest in golf before results. Despite that, he is strict with Kai Yuan's performance standard at the same time.
Most importantly, after 15 months with Coach Peter, we are delighted to see a leap in Kai Yuan's performance from a fresh junior golfer to making a small step forward by winning his first Gold in the MEGC Junior Open Tournament for Beginner. We hope to continue with the pursuit of his interest in golf and we have great confidence in Coach Peter to bring Kai Yuan to greater heights in the golf arena.
